Darwin Keech | Senior Portraits | Downtown Tempe+Papago Park
A few of the reasons that I love photography, and love portrait photography specifically, is that it offers me a chance to both explore my surroundings while getting to know new and interesting people. A couple months ago Darwin's mom, Wendy, who goes to our church mentioned that they needed to get some senior portraits taken for Darwin's upcoming graduation from Mesa Community College (MCC). At the time, I knew who Darwin was, but didn't know him very well. Since then we got coffee and hung out and have had a few other conversations. So when the time for the portrait session came this past Wednesday morning it was like hanging out with my new friend and taking some photos at the same time!
We also got to explore downtown Tempe (Mill Ave), Tempe Town Lake, and Papago Park on a Wednesday morning. We got a few "fun" looks when Darwin was wearing his martial arts gi, but he was a great sport and just went with it while we hiked in Papago! All-in-all it was a great time, and I think we got some fun photos that really show Darwin's personality!
